I still went biking in the afternoon, soldiering on with sore eyes, squinting through half open eyes and rolling almost half-blind sometimes through mud puddles and the forest trails in the rain. Great sense of satisfaction man~!

What a beautiful morning...

It's a bright and beautiful morning... And I've plans for a saturday morning ride... I'd went to bed early last night... And I woke up with sore eyes... Shucks~!
I just knew something's gonna happen, because I haven't been drinking enough water lately... but what luck for this to happen on my only cycling morning of the week~!

West Coast Park Night Ride 200807

West Coast Park, close to revamp completion after so many years, I'd say it's quite a nice job well done, really different from that muddy beach that my grandfather brought me to nearly a couple decades ago... Yes my bike's back and my night rides can resume~~
I've been trying to think a lot recently. Especially after reading my friend W**d's blog, she's been a lot in the past month and half or so... Luckily she seems to be coping well, at least seems like better than me... I've been thinking... thinking... but my mind's heavy thinking of my projects almost everyday... what to do tomorrow... what to do later... how to do... and the month's end deadline's creeping quietly closer and closer... I miss school now haha~~

I love fireworks

Went to my 3rd fireworks show this year, the 5th one that I've been to in total, considering my first time was only in August last year. I love fireworks, even if it takes so much effort to go down early to 'chope' prime viewing space and squeezing with thousands of like-minded people, for that 10-15mins of spectacle. This lights and really-smokey show by China wasn't too bad, although I still prefered last year's S'pore Fireworks Fest's shows. The photo's by "Ski" Wei (Wei's Blog).

Things start to look real weird when you make them 15000 times bigger...

My decision making machinery has been going especially cranky lately, leading to too many regrettable and sometimes nonsense decisions... Something isn't too right with me... maybe it's because I breathed in too much nano-powders from my "office" plasma spray machine and it clogged up my brain... maybe I'm spending too much time with TKY aka Spiderman... maybe I need Captain Planet to help save me =p

Keep bananas in the open. Putting them in a fridge will cause spoilage. A knife can be used to cut things, but it can also cut you. I want to master the knife, but I still got cut along the way. At least there's the banana...

Empty...

It's the first time my bike isn't at home with me, ever since I got it four and half years ago... the empty space in the room is unsettling, but it really needs some tender loving care for its arthritic joints and a few days away at the shop is small sacrifice...
Many people have said many things to me in the past week; about me, about the world, about many things... It got me thinking about many many many things... I want to heck it, but can't get them out of my head either... but I know it's for my own good... But whenever free I find escapism in fixing my bike and going to peaceful quiet places...
I would like to apologise to all my friends, who called or sms-ed to me but didn't get replies or got very late replies... my phone has a camera, and my workplace doesn't allow such stuff, and I like my phone a lot and don't want to be swapping sim cards to another phone all the time, so I always would leave my phone with the guardhouse... 18 more weeks to end of attachment~! =)

Midnight Beauty...

My flower finally bloomed~! This plant of mine only flowers once every year or so, and it hasn't flowered ever since I went for NS, which is about 4 years ago... But what a beauty~! It's bigger than my palm, and smells like sweet honey, and it blooms only at midnight and whithers by the time the sun rises... So getting to see one in full bloom is so special~ =)
Rolling back the years, this plant was given to me by a tuition teacher 14 good years ago which a good long time... This flower bloomed on the eve of my attachment start, hope that this is an auspicious sign of the green green roads to come ahead =p

Tomorrow, I'll be starting on something new. I'll be starting on my industrial attachment, and working on something more relavant to my training. I'm pretty excited, but I'll miss the fun times and people at Fish n Co...

Going Nuts~!

A customer gave me a big tip yesterday, which gave me the permission to buy the pair of shoes that I've been wanting ever since last August... Now I don't have to worry about getting my toes wet whenever I tread into the rain... these felines are waterproof yeah~!

So nice of my li'l sis to buy us donuts from the Donut Factory... Donuts, especially chocolate-glazed ones, are one of the few things that I can eat forever =p

Little dear kitty...

Went for a midnight bike spin around the area after work. Was fooling around at the nearby void decks when I saw this little sweetie... So so young and so little, yet so energetic and never a moment still... So playful that she'll chase any moving shadow near her, even her own~ And it was so damn cute when she was amused by her own little pawprints when she stepped on a puddle of water from a leaky aircon upstairs~! Again, if not for my sis's immense dislike of cats, I might have brought this little cutie back with me...

Shopping~!

Got to finish work early today, and felt like going around jalan-jalan and shopping... Got myself a new handphone pouch since mine was getting hole-ly... And I love my new pouch, especially that the colour matches my phone and that I can hang it onto my bag for my cycling moments~!

Got a new T-shirt too... Wanted it in white but no more stocks left, liked the design so got it in army green anyway... The New Balance Factory Outlet at IMM provides great customer service! Learnt to take note of service quality now since I'm in the service line myself =p

Rest day riding...

Back onto the trails again on my rest day today. Wore my new watch on the ride too. Timed my 2 laps, and man the lap times that I post now are hogsh*t~! But I'm just so pleased to get my fix of mud and oil on my legs, sweat and mud in my eyes, warm sunshine on my skin, clean fresh air and smell of plants and fruits and flowers in my nostrils, out in the green wilderness scaring the nuts off monitor lizards and squirrels... =D

Breaktime sunshine...

Haven't spent time outside, basking in the sun for quite some while... Had a break during work today, and there's no one having the same break-time as me, so I just got a cup of milk tea and sat outside Ngee Ann City, watching people, watching pigeons, watching the sky, breathing real air and basking in real sunlight, thinking about yet some more stuff... I really don't feel that at home with that a bit too many foreign talent (aka maids) around the place, especially on Sundays... Looking forward to tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow... So much I want to do =)
