Flower power!

This SBS bus is sprouting little plants with little white flowers! Really 'green' bus!

The bushes around my house block are flowering... and they smell so gooood! I just love the fragrance! So does the moth with its head in the flower... =)
Take time to slow down your steps on the way home, and try to take in the sights and smells and sounds of Nature everywhere around us, I've never regreted doing so... ever...

Braving the rain to get to Labrador Beach, it was all worth it. Ever so refreshing sea breeze, romantic sunset, cool weather. Even got to catch a glimpse of a sea turtle coming up for air! Must be a sign of good luck to come... *pray... What an evening. With me, my bike and a sea turtle.

This little white Intel toy car. Resides on one corner of my desk. Usually it stays firmly in place. To move it, somebody has to push it. Otherwise, it will just resolutely stay put.

CNY: Day I

My pre-CNY dinner ride yesterday... nice li'l flowers, before the big torrential downpour to scrub rinse and wash away all the bad things lucks memories and give us a chance to start a new year with a new clean slate... Not to mention I got caught in the downpour and got a real good thorough scrub rinse and wash... my slate would be really clean this year! =) Yeah Huat Ah!

My shirt... I like it man! Dang I couldn't drink more than a glass of wine this year during The Dinner... I was driving... But so lucky since there was a police roadblock on the way home... Heng sia... Gave all my wine to my sis and never saw her so flush before heh!

Cuckoo-ism... I've been tormented with this illness and I've been vigorously scouting for any plausible remedies, be it physical or psychological. WTH, I've resorted to asking for divine intervention and even messing with Fengshui... Anything that'll help... Hope that the cuckoo virus is afraid of pigs... =p

CNY: The Making Of... Part I

I'm squeezed right against the front door of the bus... again... man... I can't breathe... *cough!

The last minute rush-for-CNY haircut = long waiting queue, pesky kids monkeying around the already-cramped salon, noxious fumes from all the aunties having their follicles dyed, hairstylists who can't spare more than 3 lines of chit-chat without needing to sheepherd new incoming customers, loony CNY songs repeating over and over and over... and still being charged more than usual... Gong Xi Fa Cai Huat ah!

The Day...

Thanks to Friz 'honey...', Woody and Elaine! Haha I spent Valentines night with four hunks and a Wood at Botak Jones (The Jones guy quite hairy in reality except on the head hee!)... and had good fun! Man I really can't count for nuts ha!!! Let me try... there're one... two... five things in the photo... right?

Lazy cuckoo!

Yet another beautiful sunrise from my window... got to catch this all because I mistook my sis's alarm clock ringing to be mine and woke up way earlier than I needed to, only to realise after hastily showering and changing into clothes... led to me having low-batt energy levels for the past two days... what a cuckoo ha!

What a lazy cuckoo I'm becoming... I'm reduced to photographing my tutorial solutions instead of copying by hand haha! Comforting to know it is only for my elective module that I'm doing this... =D

Breakfast

I enjoy being able to have a nice breakfast, fried beehoon with fried egg and sweet aromatic kopi, on days where I need to be up in school early. This is my favourite breakfast corner, facing the comforting golden morning sunshine and those bushes in front, watching and listening to the little yellow-black birds that come to feast on the sweet nectar from those red Bottlebrush flowers...

Track 22

Went on this trail aka "Track 22" following this forum post on Togoparts. Actually it's a training area for the nearby Keat Hong Camp which probably explains those red signboards lining its perimeter... but it's nice to have such a trail nearby home for those days where I'm lazy to go far... Except that I can only come here on Sundays and public holidays or risk getting 'killed' by sweaty green boys in training!

From my lofty vantage point of about 30m above ground... Taken before I got lost and spent 20mins going in circles before managing to get back onto the main path... This place is actually quite big... it stretches all the way from CCK to Jurong!

Encountered some problems with Blogger, apparently their transition from Blogger Beta to New Blogger had some problems... On-off success with posting... shucks!

Chinatown icey-kireem?

Saw these birds a few times already at Bukit Batok Nature Park... they always seemed happy and carefree and not afraid of humans as they search for makan among the leaves, lucky beasts... really justifies the phrase "Happy like a bird..."
