Most hardworking Bangala worker in Singapore! He was still watering plants at the Harbourfront Center, right in the middle of a torrential thunderstorm! Man, the place was already flooding, yet this worker was nonchalantly watering all the newly planted plants... really dots... And the new Harbourfront extension was really a work of shoddy construction. It's barely a month old, yet it has rainwater leaking from in between ceiling panels, and even from the lights! Imagine how dangerous that can be!

Yes it's that time of the year again! Fishing season! Went through the session, one hand with Wei's DV, one hand with my Lumix, until a pesky security personnel and then Ailian came over to shut down the last recording DV standing... but at least she let blurred me get Fish's autograph on my I do EP against her boss's instructions... so thanks lah AL =p

Fish's appearance on Campus Superstar... Apparently my efforts to "siam" the cameras were futile, and within minutes I have a SMS from Shimei with regards to a sighting of me on TV hahaha! I was a bit high today, a nice departure from staring at my notes for my 2 quizes next Monday, and trying to make sense of my experimental Instron test results and SEM images over the weekend because I still have no answers to the questions posed by Prof Alfred on our last meeting! Although this is my first time watching this season's Campus Superstar, I'm gunning for the 13 year old boy and the ACJC girl, with the girl nosing ahead! Haha! Onwards to Fish's Wednesday autograph session~!

It's been pouring for the past 3 afternoons! I like the rain, because it's finally no longer hot and humid! I hate the rain, because it's so dark and gloomy. I love the rain, because finally the plants and trees are all green and happy and blooming! I dread the rain, because it makes going out so much more troublesome. But the crisp chilly fresh air after the rain is one of the best experiences to have! Love or hate it, still have to live with it~ =)

1) Were you named after anyone?
Nope. But my name had to have a "k" in it, for some fengshui reason according to my grandma.

At a funeral.

A little, not in love with them, but they're not perfect yet~

Beef. Seafood. Depends on my mood.

No girlfriend, no wife, no money, how to have kids?

NZ. On army training.

This bottle of agglomerised nano alumina is 1kg in weight, and costs S$2000! Each gram is $2! And I had just used 60g... that's $120! So so scary!

I'm confused. And I not sure if I have a solution to it. I'm not sure if it'll be good to drag on. But, still I'll try to wait and see how... Yet I'm a little excited. Ces't la Vie~

Came across this roll of raw carbon fiber in my lab. It looks just like a big roll of rafia string, or thread that my mum uses on her sewing machine! The carbon fibers themselves are much like stringy rafia strings! Hard to imagine that this is the raw material used to make F1 cars, bullet-stopping armour and aeroplanes!

Talking of armour, my FYP is going into overdrive now! DSO/DSTA is putting pressure on Temasek Labs, who in turn put pressure on my professor, who in turn puts pressure on my ST Kinetics supervisor, who then puts pressure on me and my mentor... I now have to give ST Kinetics a reasonable product by March! And I might have to work on this project after graduation in May even! At least they're willing to offer more than the $1500 that I asked for heh~ =)

My back hurts... ouch ouch... strange... I didn't carry any heavy load or do any vigorous activities recently mah... why got pain?

Just had somebody from my block, from an unknown floor and unit, screaming something like "杀人, 着火,救命!", or "murder, fire, help!", while banging on the metal gates of somebody's house. Sometime nearing midnight. Continued for about a minute, then with the loud bang of a metal gate, and then silence. Left me and my dad completely blur. Sounded like a boy's voice to me, but my dad insisted it sounded like a woman. We didn't know what to do with this too. Strange~


I'm now currently in love with this song! It's Fish's 情歌~!! I think the MV's so cool too, with the retro 1980s memories of cassette tapes and big specs!

Went to my first ever NTU school bash last night, the German Society Valentine's Bash! Free flow Brewerks beer, which was pretty good. But not so for the food though. Qijia had to take taxi home because we missed the last East-bound train by just a couple of minutes! I managed to catch my last bus home though, because the bus was late itself haha!

Today's a lot more sedate, managing to get my riding time in after a few days of waiting and missing...~

My Valentine's pressie! From the Blood Bank haiz...~ =p

My mum's plant, now blossoming again after I repotted it in my sis's abandoned little glass bottle! Previously it came in a snail's shell, but then its roots dried out and died, and only a couple of leaves and a bit of stem were still green and alive. Today, it's grown to about a feet tall (on support wire), and flowering again! Credit also to my smelly chicken sh*t fertilizer~!

Had my first ever meal of conveyor belt sushi! Tried swordfish sashimi for the first time too! Tastes a bit oily, but I don't like the firm texture. Sushi not recommended for meals for guys, because it is just not filling enough! This is a new place, the refurbished Clementi cinema right opposite the MRT station~

Shouldn't have teased TKY when he misplaced his thumbdrive the other time... bad karma~!


It's Vincent's birthday today! We got him a small bottle of pinkish-dunno-what-but-got-some-gold-medal-award wine to match his pink umbrella, decorated it a bit with a marker pen, and I had specifically learnt to tie a ribbon for his gift as well! Hahaha! =D
