Running in the Bukit Batok Nature Park jungle at night... I used to do this on a bike, now I'm doing it on two legs~! Nothing beats the calmness and cool stillness of the atmosphere within the dark forest, crickets chirping and frogs croaking away... Bring on the Sundown Marathon~!

A star inside a styrofoam kopi cup~! One more paper left, in another 4 days I will be able to see the light of day~~

Midnight Fireworks~!

The bright red dot in the middle of the photo isn't a star, nor is it a roof-top signal light... It is more like a signal flare used by the army. But why was it launched in the middle of a residential estate in the middle of the night? Urban army ops now moving into the heartlands? Or is Mas Selamat spotted around this area? Mystery~

Another such flare was fired right across the road just meters away from my block, about 7 minutes after the first one, although it is quite some kilometers away from the first flare... Not bad for some free midnight fireworks~!

Exams Start

Exams have started~! One paper down, and it feels like exams are over~! Because this first paper is the one I most worry for... not that the other papers will be easy~
7 days to the next onslaught... 15 days to D-Day... I can't wait~
My right side gums are hurting and swollen... Never had my gums so swollen and painful before... Could be wisdom tooth, could be an overdose of chocolate cookies during the last few days of studying... I really hope it's a case of cookie-overdose... Don't see much wisdom in spending money and enduring undue pain pulling out a late growing tooth~

My Pitcher Plants~

My Nepenthes × Hookeriana pitcher plant has finally accepted and rewarded my tender loving care and bore its first lower pitcher~! It's quite big, almost as tall as its own pot~! And it has been diligently trapping all the little red ants living around the flower pots... Good job Hooks~!

My Hookeriana and Ampullaria pitcher plants... My Ampullaria now has three pitchers already, although it seems not able to attract and trap any insects, requiring me to catch and feed it insect foods, but it's worth it to see it prospering so happily~!

Exam Rants~

Testing out Macro mode on my new phone camera...~

The 179 bus that I took on my way home from school last night had quite an incident... At first I overheard a girl who was sitting on the last row of seat of the double-decker bus saying her seat was a little hot. I thought at first that it's becuase that last row was directly above the engine so it is always hot. But then 3 minutes later, I saw her change seats, because smoke was coming out from under her seat! Then things started happening quickly... more smoke came out, then outside the window a lot of smoke could be seen behind the bus, then the seat corners started turning black and the bus was filling up with the smell of burning plastics, by then we had moved to stop the bus driver from driving on... What drama~! Not just 179 drivers drive buses like F1 cars, even the 179 buses blow up like F1 cars wahaha~!

Pre-Exam Period

Man I've sleeping so much lately. Heck I've been getting more sleep than I used to during the normal school term! It seems that I've been subconsciously trying to escape from reality by drifting into Dreamland...
Same with my diet... I habitually go into 'puasa' mode during exam periods, but this time round I've been eating merrily and continuously... but eating I don't mind~ Right now I'm clearing off a pack of ChipsMore double-choc cookies yum yum~~
