The 2 white things on the tree are parrots! (The 2 white things in the center of the picture!) Everytime I run or cycle past this tree on the road divider near Bukit Batok Nature Park at night, I'll hear screaming and squarking noises, until one night I managed to track down and pinpoint the source of the noise, and found this pair of white parrots! They're white cockatoos, the type with yellow feathers on their heads, commonly seen in bird shops. A pair of wild parrots in Singapore! I've noticed that they'll sleep on the exact same tree, same spot every night, and always seen together... so loving~!

After having experienced Google's Chrome browser for a good period of time, I'm now finding Internet Explorer a bear to use, especially the slower loading speeds, and the bigger amount of RAM required (something my laptop is so seriously lacking), and easy shortcuts and tab handling (just drag the tabs around!)... If not for those websites (like NTU's Edventure) which still require IE to load, I would have put it into deep cold storage ages ago!

Slept very very early yesterday evening, and I woke up at 4! Caught West Brom vs Man U on tv, and other shows, and then took time to take photos of the sunrise outside my bedroom window, with the crystal balls on my window grilles blasting streaks of rainbows across my room. Nice. =)

Loved my bottle of chardonnay! My sis loved it too! Not as exciting as the reds that my uncles like, without the tannins and deep complexity, replaced with refreshing sweetness and elegance... still got half bottle left in the fridge =)

Finally did some spring cleaning today... not thorough, just enough to keep my nest from looking way too scummy... Brought to my notice of all my barang barang lying around...


This bottle of white wine was given by the fellow biker who had dropped his phone on the Mandai trail, and I picked it up and returned to him the same day. Rode with him once after that, but they were a bunch of ultra rich bikers, affording bike shoes that cost $500! Mine cost $60 and I've been using the same pair since 2001! I'll open this bottle during dinner this CNY~! The turtle beside it was given to me from my aunt, during the time we went to watch Free Willy in the cinema, long long history~!

I like Fish's new album a lot a lot! Although it sounded a little bland on the first 2-3 spins, somehow it grew on me, especially on bad-mood-ed mornings and evenings! It's just so comfortable, so warm to have the album caressing, tingling my eardrums, just like having my mum beside me... Melted all unhappy crap to pretty gold dust, even though at least while the melodies are pumping as my silicone ear buds did their part to isolate meself from the noisy world... Didn't have an album since her Sunrise album in 2002 which worked such magic on me. And I really like 不敢当 a lot a lot~!

Downloaded the whole series of 翻滾吧！蛋炒飯 from Veoh! Somehow after watching several Taiwanese and HK drama serials from vacation break till now, this is the serial that I want most in my collection...

My mum made me drink chicken essence today evening, the first time in more than a decade I think... she had noticed my constant lethargy, irritable moods, bad appetites and the marked reduction in my cycling and running outings over the past 2-3 weeks... I don't feel right but I can't pinpoint anything really wrong either... my left upper eyelid has been twitching for the past week or so too, sometimes so much that it really irritates me! Sign of something to come? Good or bad? Hope it blows over real soon and I can get back to proper usual life again...~

Went with Mas to get Fish's new album today after work... 静茹&情歌: 别再为他流泪~! Just got home, and still listening to the tracks for the very first time... need a couple more spins of the CD to get used to the new music styles of this album... 没有如果, 不敢当, 风笛手 and 儿歌 already quite hit in me on first spin...~

Got Marcus to go with me to watch 卓文萱's NTU concert. Funny that I have to try so so so hard to get someone to go watch a free concert with me; something must be wrong somewhere along the line... The turnout of the concert was crazy! The MLT was more packed than the briefing I attended 4 years ago for my whole cohort of Engineering students! Even the stairs and floor were occupied! Around 95% of the audience is local/M'sian, which made me feel much at home like in S'pore, unlike most other school events... Saw Mr Yan, Carol and Ailian too, but they seemed too busy to be disturbed by me... 卓文萱 can sing quite ok too (I particularly like her 一句话 and 永不消失的彩虹), and she could get the audience moving too, something that I've always hope Fish could do but she never managed to make it work... Even the "ang mo pai" Marcus quite enjoyed the concert, which made me feel a bit less bad about making him stay back to watch the concert with me, and waiting for me to finish my late meeting with Prof Alfred and Boss Sioh... At least now he knows songs from 2 Chinese singers hahaha~!!

Fish's new song 沒有如果 music video! Got this scene where she is working as a waitress and "sweeps" couples together! So pure fantasy, yet so nice if this were to happen in real life, especially with a girl so pretty muahahaha~!! =p

If an armpit is called the armpit, then can we call the region behind the knee the kneepit? Or calfpit? Thought of this because my right "kneepit" is kinda hurting and inflamed, especially after my bike ride to school today, first time I've hurt this part of my body... wonders~

Went to Ai Qing Hai at Marina Square, with Mas, Jason and Jito... their signature drink is quite good! Their chicken chop too... although quite expensive (inclusive of cover charge)... But damn funny lah! First time ever we get to hear new version of Jay Chou's song... erm 牛仔"不"忙 hahaha!


My new Fish single - Ido, after collecting from Mas! One of just 3000 in the world muahaha ooops~! Jason says new album is 10 days away! And I finally know that 幸福的抉擇 is the name of a new Taiwanese drama serial, and also the name of Fish soundtrack single for the drama serial, I always thought it's the title of Fish's upcoming new album! Oh my god... my chinese is really getting terribly bad, can't even read Fish's blog posts properly~!

Wah lau eh... can no longer watch high quality drama serials videos on Crunchyroll due to licensing issues... Left with only those grainy videos from Tudou and Youku, haiz...~

Finally finished painting the front door and metal gate of my house... after 12 years, my gate's rusting and it was a mess to sandpaper everything off for painting! But now, I have a shiny clean front gate and door! Yay~!

Went for a late evening ride to West Coast park after my painting. Nice nice sunset at the yacht marina~ =D

I noticed that I haven't experienced the "high" of watching fireworks this time round - I've been staring at my camera LCD screen the whole of the show! Plus I didn't get bombarded by loud explosion sounds of the fireworks either... maybe it got drowned out in my own shouting and the people shouting behind me... I want to ditch my camera and just concentrate on watching my fireworks show, but then, I also want to try to record the show in pictures by meself... the irony, the irony... at least the mood and atmosphere of this year's countdown was probably amonst the best I've ever had! Thanks FD guys and gang~!


It's a rainy 1st January 2009~!!

Went to watch and take photos of the New Year fireworks at Marina Bay after work today, with the FD guys and gang. Drank with the "beer-ghosts aka Jason and CYB" before midnight, but maybe because of the fatigue after work plus lack of sleep and lack of a proper dinner meal, my Barons really did seem super extra strong, and I was pretty much high for the whole hour after drinking, till the point that I had problems taking my pictures! Have to thank Aw aka "fake PJC student" and Mas for giving my beer a very good shake-up, and then making me open the can! But again, happy new year to all my friends~!

The inner thigh abrasion from my day at work is killing me! Must be all my camera, handphone, MP3, coin pouch, sweets, wallet, and water bottle in my pockets that had caused it! Made me have to walk like a duck during the midnight countdown haha!
