Kitty vs Bear!

This little kitty named Jack must have watched too much Tom and Jerry cartoons at home... he actually managed to chase a wild black bear a hundred times its weight up a tree! Friskies makes your kitty big and strong!

Today

0518, after spending 30mins to push the van out of the way and calling up the tow service hotline, sleepy and squatting by the roadside... waiting...


0641, alone, sleepy, tired, pissed like crazy and still waiting, called up the hotline for the third time wishing to be able to knock the operator's head... almost 2hrs still no bloody tow truck? What the hell is the 24hrs tow service claim about man?!


After a nap... the evening sun and Labrador Park tried to make the day a good one...


The sun and scenary is so nice... I almost didn't want to leave... till I see storm clouds in the distance... *panic*!


The sun is so nice, even the jellyfish are out to enjoy the beautiful surroundings... so many of them wow! A couple of them might even have been too relaxed... and got entangled in seaweed hehe...

Frank'mas Tree!

It's a X'mas tree made up of layers of different plants, quite pretty... not unlike my new bling-bling pedals... =D

2 x Weapon X!

New bling for my bike! Before they get all muddy and scratched up, I thought I should capture them in their best first... heehee! Man I'm so pumped that I got these magnesium bad boys brand-new at half-price and they are half the weight of my current steel pedals! (Haha of course... atomic mass of Fe is 55.85 while Mg is only 24.31...) Now only if the rain finally stops falling so I can go actually riding... I haven't seen the sun for 3 days already....

Ju-rassic Park!

Went off my usual riding loop today, and found this fantastic little trail, only 2km short but made for excellent riding! It's the essence of mountain biking haha! Must bring my biking kakis there this weekend... Such nice sun too... skin is so nicely-baked and lightly-salted just like Pringles Original... yumm yumm!


Saw this straight-out-of-Jurassic-Park pitcher plant on the trail... it's as big as my hand! Biggest that I've seen in Singapore...

Nice flowers along the way... as long as the butterflies keep out of my shirt!


Back on my usual route... dead legs... flat lungs... need lunch badly....

My very own little papaya tree! Very sweet, fleshy red meat, 1kg for $2, delivery starts 3 years later... taking orders now... whaha!

FULLerton... urgh!

To try to satisfy Marshal's chocolate appetite, our next Detachment 2 birthday dinner party went to the Fullerton's Chocolate buffet... Man I never had chocolate till I felt so sick before... and never had we felt so conned before too... Next time I'll satisfy my own chocolate craving more simply with just a chocolate bar... urrgh!

0070 in Casino Royale Bunnye

Was at freshly-opened Vivocity with Agent TKY yesterday... he was tasked by Agent C to seek out this 'ugly' long-legged bunny, no ordinary one though, it must be untouched still in its original plastic packaging... He couldn't accomplish it at Vivo... and he left to look for more bunnies at the Orchard... while his trusty sidekick Agent Blur stayed at Vivo in case the bunnies reappeared from hiding... Aha! The bunnies were cornered at Orchard and Agent Blur can relax at the shoreline opposite Harry's Island...


Not bunny, but this hamster seems suspicious... drinking water upside down... he must be highly-skilled in Drunken Hamsterate... not one to disturb... Vivo's one dangerous place...


With the mission accomplished, last night Agent Blur was out rolling about on his uber sexy spy machine at the West Coast Park... thought about Agent TKY and then started humming 李宗盛's 鬼迷心窍 again... thought it was so fitting!

As Agent Blur continues to wait for his own '女鬼' to manifest... 0070 lives to fight another day, and the legend continues....

Saw this fantastic sunrise skyline this morning just before leaving home for my two papers today... haven't quite woke up as early in quite a while too... noticed that as the number of exams coming up got lesser, the more colours returned to my world...


6 crossed out, 1 left! Apparently those that are crossed out are those I wish to forget...


I'm hoping that evolution would one day reverse this predicament (worm = me... ;p)...

What's better than going home on a bus with massage seats, free of charge sans raising transport fees?

Haha! This is what you'll get when the guy sitting behind decides to prop his knees against the back of your seat...

Depending on the bus speed, the slower the bus, the more often the guy will adjust his posture and the greater coverage of your once-sore-now-comfy back... Nowadays will even come with accompanying music, although not of your choice... !

I was dreaming about somethings... I think that people are like atoms... We all have several layers of shells, like atoms, the closer the shell is to the nucleus (or heart...), the more energy is needed to prise it open... just like it takes more energy to remove an electron from the K-shell than from the L-shell... and some of us require more energy than others to be opened... until the right atom of the opposite charge comes along to react to stable configuration... hmm...


Nope this isn't a terrorist attack... but the flames are as long as the chimney itself! This oil refinery in Tuas must be trying to send smoke and light signals to Russia...


The flowers in my school are blossoming due to the recent weather, bringing a colourful brilliance to this bleak exam period, but they can only hope that people actually stop to admire them....

4 days since my last paper, 4 days to my next paper, 5 days to another blah blah blah... and 11 days till it all ends yet again and yet another cycle begins again... I'm just like a water molecule under the almighty grasp of the hydrological cycle... hmmm....

Many thanks to Ah Seng... I got these Sennheiser headphones, for free! While these are just Sennheiser's entry-level stuff... as what Dr. Sennheiser said during his lecture, anything less than Sennheiser's entry level product is crap... apparently he wasn't really bull-shitting... :D

Monkeying on a rainy day

Look out for bicycles? Yeah who cares? Drizzling? Really? Don't feel it... I'm my boss here! Who else around here gets as many nuts and attention from the cute girls huh?! Stare somemore and I'll snatch this thingy from you overgrown monkey!

The wet forest calms the soul with such soothing colours, true-blue fresh air and calming sounds of rain in real-time... even manages to make me forget that I'm soaking wet and muddy and another 5km from home with the sun setting really soon... bliss.

Flying 'object' at the airport!

Got to send Jingru off at the airport... then proceeded to take some whacky photos that got the cleaning aunty trying to spy us from far hehe. Somemore... why I'm so suay that everytime I make it there, Jingru won't be able to take photos with us de...? But... heh at least she did say "加油 加油!" to Kiv for his exams tomorrow... *_*' and mine's in 2 weeks time too...

Trying to remember crystallographic stuff in my notes by staring at my lucky crystal... ;D

Fishing Season opens again!

I got to witness destructive interference of sound waves 'live'... we were at the side of the stage but we heard almost nothing from the speakers, because there was another pair of speakers blasting at us 90 degrees across and playing commentary from another side... luckily that stopped when she came on-stage hee...

And now, back to my lecture recordings... dumb "E-Learning Week"! Makes it as though I skipped all our lectures for this week and now I have catch up on the recordings... notwithstanding the 2 assignments that took up so much of my revision time. Now I look at all the quizes coming up, and man am I scared....

One nice nice saturday morning....

First time that I went for a long 4 hour ride alone in a while... It's probably my last such ride till the exams tide over...
Me eating wind on the secluded forested banks of Upper Pierce reservoir... it's so peaceful, the cool fresh breeze... the fantastic sound of gentle waves... no humans around even in the pump station... oh yah it's a public holiday hehe... yeah the wonders of auto-timer camera... :p

Be careful when beating around bushes... they bite! Respect plants too!
Speaking of bite, I had almost ran over a black cobra on the trail (with countless similar encounters that day with lazy monitor lizards too, must be the nice sunshine that morning!) It opened its hood, but quickly retreated into the leaf litter... before I managed to fish my phone out of my bag to snap a picture for a momento. I didn't really want to go too close to it too, after watching Jeff Corwin clowning with one on Animal Planet just days before, these guys can be so fierce if not given respect... I'm pleased to see one, and to know that these guys are still doing ok in our increasingly concrete-tifying 'green' island...
