Went to Fish's concert at KL. Never regreted being there. Despite the crazy journey from the KL budget airport to the hotel, and from the hotel to the indoor stadium. I'll never ever complain about the layout and infrastructure of our public transport system again!

The brilliance of having an excellant audience! The spectacular sight of so so many lightsticks and blinking lights really draws the heart, mind and soul into the essense of purely enjoying the concert.

The "Fish" carnival atmosphere outside the stadium is something of an eye-bursting experience for me...

Emo Wei~~ Cheer up bro!

Suffered this almost catastrophic failure of my hip/spinal cord on the morning after the concert. I was already carrying a back strain beforehand, and I already knew something wasn't quite right when I couldn't do even 1 situp while trying to train for IPPT last Thursday. But I didn't expect my back to give way, especially in KL, when I didn't do anything strenous at all, apart from all the walking. The trip back from KL was total hell. Especially going up and down the stairs. And the several bumps on my back by other people. Really felt like my spine's hammering straight into my hip, bone against bone. Luckily, all's much much much much better today after some good rest and sleeping.

Learnt so much more about myself from this trip to hell and back. I now know I have an old spinal injury when I was really young, and this had caused one of my bones around the L5 spinal region to be slightly displaced. This explains why I had always felt spinal pain when I do situps on hard surfaces, when I stand for long periods during army parades, and sometimes when I wake up in the mornings. This also made me susceptible to slipped discs and other back issues. But nobody has ever pointed this out, even during my NS checkup! Somemore the army sent me into Artillery! The x-ray has shown up a suspected stress fracture of a small bone around my L5 region! Just did some research on spondylolysis with my sister, who is studying occupational physiotherapy. Went through my x-rays too. Really seemed to have this little broken part. Will go down to company to get a specialist referral, I don't want it to get any worse! I still have many years of cycling to go!

*Thanks to all the guys who had shown their care and concern to me! Special thanks to Thomas and Huimin who went beyond the extra miles to help and care for me. Love you all!*

I was doing some labelling for some stuff that we were shipping over to Germany for a test. Then, when I was given a brand new roll of blank labels, and an empty meeting room, I went bonkers with the label printer hahaha!!

My name on my GT bike!

My name on my Giant!

Even my helmet is not spared! Blured's protective shell for an empty shell...

Oh dear, the longer my Cold Spray machine is down, the more "loansharks" will come knocking, calling, emailing, and they will not be happy... And I'm still only warming up my ass on my seat, one month into my job... How to get out so many products so quickly? Hell even the machine's giving us unprecedented issues that we're still puzzled over! Mampos mampos~~

Had a nice long afternoon of trail biking on Saturday. I haven't had the feeling of not wanting to go home for a long time until then. If not for the sun setting and the forest getting dark, I would had continued on. By then I had done 2 laps of Bukit Timah, and 5 laps of the shorter Scorpion Trail at Bukit Panjang! I really loved the stretch of trail in Scorpion which really resembles a bombsled course; a snakey left-right-left-right downhill between the trees with beautiful berms on the outside of each curve, totally fun! This is Downtown West's rollercoaster fun! I was so totally tired on my ride home, and I was having this totally bad headache when I reached home. Almost like a hangover from all the adrenaline rush. Until the next biking weekend then.

Just 'loaned' a Canon DSLR, it's my uncle's but he didn't want it anymore. Playing with it for a while, but too tired to read the manual... haha!! Trial-&-error-ing with the manual settings... Got a 'ghost-shot' of my bike tyres... =p

Big tyre small tyre~~

Went into the trails for the first time in a long long time this morning yay! Had to skip part of BT trail because of a bunch of kids doing hiking and mountain biking from the OBS camp nearby. And it drizzled a little halfway through my morning. So so muddy, so so tired, cramped for awhile on my way home. But it's so so shiok!! Seems that a whole week of anticipation has made me even stronger and yearn for more, I was spinning big ring on the trails for the first time ever! Shiok shiok shiok! Surely be back for more tomorrow morning! Forgot I'm no longer using a camera handphone, no pictures this time round... =)

My Giant's back online!

Took a few shots of my new SLX cranks and rear D in their best before I get them all dirty as soon as this weekend! Only after trying brand new stuffs again did I realise how much friction I've been living with with my worn BB, rear D and chain!

Sunday, May 24, 2009

Finally couldn't stand it anymore and took the plunge to wheel my old but still so pretty Giant to the bikeshop to get it back into ridable shape (bikeshop uncle also commented on how pretty my Giant frame was! My Easton Magnesium stem too! So proud me!!!), required a new SLX crankset and rear D. This means I'll be able to ride my trails again next weekend yeah!! I couldn't take it watching the Mountain Bike World Cup every week online, and seeing all the beautiful photos of people riding in magazines, and about half-year off the trails is so torturing! At least I'm spending the money originally set aside for my diving course...

This will be just an interim move though, I'm eyeing the red Eclipse hardtail hanging off the ceiling of CycleMax! Ferrari red with huge frame tubes and shapely curves, just like how I like women to be! And it's not crazy expensive at all! Drool... Apparently the uncle got it from my favourite Uncle Ah Chai, so I'll probably go down to BikeLabz to have him to build it up for me, when I have the dough that is hahaha! I'll then save up some more dough to see if it's worth revitalising my Giant with some choice parts upgrades, if not then it will probably be left as it is or stripped apart and put down into cold storage...

CycleMax in Bukit Batok Central is also good! Although it looks totally unassuming, no nice cabinet of bike fetish jewellery, the walls and floor are just plain cement! But the uncle does bring in wonderful stuffs, and the uncle does know and love bikes too! And he's a friend of Ah Chai too! That makes him my friend too heh! Good to have a nice friendly bikeshop so near my place for my little bike needs =)

My mum's already questioning why I'm having 2 bikes, if she knows I'm planning for a third one, she'll probably go into more interrogation-mode! But my third one's my motivation and entry ticket into XC racing again, so it's more than just another bike for me... And at least I have lesser bikes than my sisters have shoes and bags... =p

My Giant's now awaiting revival at CycleMax, should be done by tomorrow. Excited!!!

Down with a virus infection since yesterday. Didn't feel quite right when I got up for work yesterday, measured my temperature but was clear of fever, so I made it for work. Until an hour or so, when I started feeling totally weird with bad backaches and headache, and my temperature kept rising. Held on until lunchtime before going to the doctor near work. Was so dizzy that I didn't really care or register any that anybody said to me. Went home, had 2-3 mouthfuls of my lunch before taking my medicine and then stayed on the bed for the next few hours. Kept cursing because my backache kept me from sleeping properly. My temperature kept rising even after 2 rounds of medicine, almost hitting 39 at a point, so I went to the clinic near my place again. Luckily, after taking the new medication, my temperature finally went down by this morning, together with the backache, leaving only a little bit of dizziness at the time of typing. Need to start scheduling work for next week, headaches headaches...

Photo from Mountain Bike Mag

I'm having to go through stacks of scientific journals again, this time at work... and also go through the ASTM test standards and test equipment... still feeling pretty much the lowest lifeform "aka BMT recruit" in the offices that I work in, especially since I'm still pipping hot fresh grad and not up to the same levels as my 1st-class and 2nd-upper honours colleagues... Might really need to re-consider my future some time down the road when times get better or if life gets worser... not really feeling confident at all at the moment haiz... like a hardtail mountain bike traversing a trail meant for army tanks... phew phew phew ouch ouch ouch crash bang ouch...~~

Went to Marina Barrage with the FD guys, my first time there...

Played with the shutter speed... got this 'aurora effect' from a shot of a water fountain... =p

Arts Festival performace, with the backdrop of 3 'Marina IR robots' and a giant praying mantis!

CYB in action...

Aw in action... don't know how he managed to squeeze in between the railing and the wall...

Wailoon in deep thoughts...

Mas in action...

Almost like walking through a giant water canal...
Went for drinks with my Cold Spray research team at the old Bukit Timah firestation. Great great place. Surely I'll be back soon, love the place, service, atmosphere, and big big mugs of Hoegarden! And it's just a few bus stops away from home! Away from the seriousness of work, the guys were a great bunch to hang with. Even Prof Philip from UniSIM, who is so totally cool for a guy as old as my own parents! He's in a totally different league from the profs currently in MSE (by the way Prof Philip was formerly a prof from MSE until 2003), in terms of personality and knowledge on thermal sprays. How nice if he were to be around when I was doing my IA and FYP... haiz... Will miss my mentor Siaoming when he leaves on Tuesday too... I love Prof Philip's zhnged-upped Subaru Legacy too!! Man it's the first time I felt the effortlessness to get up to crazy speeds of the 2.5L turbo and 4WD!!! And he drives in Manual mode with the steering wheel paddle-shift too! So cool! I want a Subaru too!!!

My first real experience of the true value of the 'TGIF'... best! =P

Thursday, May 14, 2009

I hate waking up at 5.30-6.30am every morning, depending on where I report for work. Compared to the school exam period when I seem to be operating closer to a European timezone, it's like jetlag every morning when I wake up for work. Feel totally bad whenever I have heavy eyelids during the tedious theory training sessions with my mentor in the mornings.

Next week will be my crunch week, where I can foresee my ego, self-confidence, and spirit undergoing the toughest test yet since the interview with my big boss. Next Tuesday, my mentor will be leaving for Australia for his Phd, leaving me to fight the war after just 7 days of super intensive training, on just my 7th day at work. I'm already expecting myself to be totally lost for awhile, and expecting some scolding and nagging and comparisons. I need to win over all the contacts of my mentor, retain them, and then try to build on them as time goes. I'm seriously lacking confidence and competence in C programming and Maths, and they're among my biggest worries among other worries. Life's a total 90-180 degrees different from my life just a week ago. Man, I really need to release some hot air by this weekend, or I'll blow up like a pufferfish on viagra...

Went out to get a new phone, because my workplaces don't allow camera phones, and my old non-camera phones were all dead or dying after NS and industrial attachment... Got this Sony Ericsson G700, touchscreen with Symbian OS for $168, pretty worth it considering I wanted a phone which I would enjoy using, with the other non-camera phones being the super-cheap and super-simple feature-less phones... I wanted a phone with features like MP3 and radio because my workplaces don't allow the use of MP3 players too! Being my first ever touchscreen and smartphone, I was pretty excited to get it too, although it was a drag to copy over all the calender entries and stuffs from my beloved Nokia 6500...
It has been a crazy past week... ~~

Monday's FYP presentation, which didn't go exactly as smoothly as I wished it had, but I'm still pretty ok with it... anyways it's over already...

Tuesday's soccer with the MSE guys, haven't felt so breathless and cooked even though we played in the evening 4.30pm sun, really need to start working out again... my ass muscles hurt for like till today man!

Went for ST Kinetics interview on Wednesday for the research engineer job, the same position vacated by Xiaoming (ST K's not FD =p). Had pretty low morale and expectations after the interview... then I went for our MSE Grad Night. Pretty much sad that I'll be parting with all the MSE peoples after a pretty nice 4 years... Don't think I'll ever get to see as many pretty girls when I start working haiz... =p

Thursday's chalet day with Brenda, Liping, Hans and people. Christal from ST Kinetics called me just before I left home for the chalet, to tell me that I've gotten the job, much much to my surprise! Strangely I'm not that excited though... Helped to set up their chalet, and man this was one of the best BBQs I had, in terms of edible (good in fact) foods! Too bad Frizal couldn't make it... and that I couldn't stay for the night...

After the chalet, I had to rush home to do my job application stuffs... My printer's dead so I had to bike back to MSE com lab in the middle of the night to print out all 11 HR forms and scan my bankbook and stuff... will really really miss the com lab... scene of many many memories...

After finishing filling all the forms, I only had about 2 hours time to sleep, before I need to get up to iron both my set of interview clothes, and my Intercruise part-time work clothes... and then go down to ST Kinetics first thing in the morning to sign my contract and stuffs, before going down to Harbourfront for work... with totally dead legs after practically sprinting down on my bike to NTU and back the night before, and only having 2 hours to recover...

Phew... a crazy crazy week... so so tired, and I'm starting work next week! Life's going to be so crazy...~~

20 hours more to go for my FYP presentation! Just bought Kiwi Neutral to polish my shoes, dusty and scratched up during part-time work, used the Kiwi to freshen up my worn leather bike seat as well... Still need much reading up to cover my ass during the Q & A session, as well as a final run-through of the presentation... ~~

Post Exams times~

My treat for myself, an oreo milkshake from the Liquids Cafe beside Beautyworld... I lost about 3kg due to bad eating habits during the 3-4 weeks of exam mugging and bad moods... this will go a long way in helping get back that 3kg!

Thomas' Strawberry smoothie. I thought that the "ice cube" base of the glass was real! Very much plastic it was in the end...

Marcus' birthday pizza prata! From the "famous" RK House of the 'No pork no pork' fame =D

My bike on the top of the Labrador Park hill, overlooking the southern islands...

Loves the sunshine~~

Finally, my last exam in NTU is over, and hopefully, all is well and I should pass and graduate, apart from the FYP presentation next Monday... Somehow, it seems that even though I have been dreaming of this day almost ever since the day I stepped into NTU, especially so during each biannual exam mugging period. I seem to have this big part of me that seems to be missing student life already. However, I shouldn't be missing the exam mugging, which is so totally hateful... It could be the part of me which seemed to be so lost, with the door open in front of me, yet I don't know where to go... how nice it was to have that door closed with the student me behind the door just caring about my studies, and packing in playtime into between whatever time I can spare and sometimes more. Now, I'm applying for whatever job opening that seems fine and do-able to me, and yet I would worry about whether I suit the job and whether the job suits me. The "TKY" in me also wants to hold out to see if there will be ever-better opportunities coming along, if any... haiz...

Big worries aside, my bedroom is long-due a big spring clean and make-over! Must have dinosaurs living under and inside my cupboard!

My FYP presentation is a little worrying to me too... 30mins long, how am I going to find so much stuffs to present? And TKY also stressed me the other day, by saying that the presentation would take up 50-70% of the total FYP marks... mampos lah... my project seems so simple and unscientific compared to the cheemmelogy-projects of others... would require a dang hell of effort to smoke out my presentation!! ~

A nice super steep, rooty drop on the Offenburg Germany Mountain Bike World Cup course. Looks great, especially when dry. Should be crazy scary when wet and muddy.

Mampos... I've been spending a bit too much time playing Restaurant City on Facebook. I find it so therapeutic seeing Mas, Wei and Justin toiling in front of the stove hahahaha!! Finally I can "command" Mas to wash the toilet and stuff hahaha!!! Of course, Kelvin is the "running runner" waiter, like the old Kelvin in his Fish & Co. days, pretty much doing the same things, serving food and clearing plates without catching much breath in between (handling Section C really sucks...), except that the Restaurant City Kelvin doesn't actually run. Nor does he mix up his orders. Which is good.~~

Short break after my 3 papers... Took my bike out to West Coast Park. Love the serene peacefulness of a weekday, not missing the loads of kids on bikes, pedal-carts and rollerblades all over the place. Was trying to spot birds at a quiet estuary, but most probably it's the birds which were spotting me instead...

Gleaming in the sun! Took the back-rack off for this ride, and it feels noticeably better! Especially when setting up for corners, where it seems sharper, even though the rack only weighs like 2kg...

Ok, time to get back to business... PV and FYP presentation left to go...~~

Day-dreaming already... I want to revive my Giant NRS trail bike! I want the new Shimano SLX crankset to replace my 5 yr-old Truvativ Stylo which I cannot trust anymore after it fell apart while I pounded on the pedals on the road! I want the new SLX Shadow rear deraileur as well to replace my totally-worn 8 yr old XT! I can make do with my now 8-yr old XT shifters and Deore front deraileur, and my also 8-yr old 2001 model XT disc brakes, and I'll keep the Xpedo pedals which I absolutely love! I want a new 1-inch XC riser bar to replace my straight bars! I can already feel my legs itching up already! Now all I need is a job to finance my fantasy... =p

Nice 2009-model yr SLX Shadow rear deraileur...~

Nice SLX cranks...

More day-dreaming... if I can afford it, I want a new hardtail which can allow me to try cross-country racing again! With full Sram X7 drivetrain, an Avid Elixir 5 disc brake set, a good wheelset, a X-Fusion Velvet fork, and a black frame with gold anodised components! Drool... =p````

Felt like I needed to sweat out a bit, in the evening sunshine, eat a bit of air, but didn't really want to get too tired out as well, a short bike ride is such a nice thing to do...~~

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Today's my last morning exam paper in NTU, possibly in my life to come as well! Yay! Even though the exam didn't go as smoothly as I wanted it to be... Went home and "fainted" for a couple of hours on my bed... never had so many weird dreams in the short space of a few hours! Next up are the 2 more papers on next Tuesday, 4 days to cover 2 modules' revisions! 6.5 hours of continued madness on that day! Then I can finally relax a bit for the final paper that is PV, which seems so far away...

Nope, this Mentos isn't past expiry... it's slightly black! It's Mentos Extreme Mint! Never saw this before! Got it from the Value Shop at West Mall... Never been to West Mall for so long, even though I walk pass it like almost every few days! Same for Jurong Point... Stocking up my stash of sweets and titbits at home, in preparation of exams, again... ~~

I've learnt some new words today from a Facebook quiz! The meanings from Wikipedia:

The 'Personality Plus' personality profiles

Choleric: This is the commander-type. Cholerics are dominant, strong, decisive, stubborn and even arrogant.
Melancholy: This is the mental-type. Their typical behaviour involves thinking, assessing, making lists, evaluating the positives and negatives, and general analysis of facts.
Sanguine: This is the social-type. They enjoy fun, socialising, chatting, telling stories - and are fond of promising the world, because that's the friendly thing to do.
Phlegmatic: This is the flat-type. They are easy going, laid back, nonchalant, unexcitable and relaxed. Desiring a peaceful environment above all else.

I'm a Phlegmatic, as what the quiz says of me and what I thought I'm closest to... Apparently I'll be attracted to the Choleric type of girls, hmm... let's see if this will be true, not that I really know of any of such girls yet...

Man, I was really tormented last night, by a pesky mosquito! She was like toying with me, giving little bites all over me without settling her fill with just one big bite! Kept me half-awake all through the night... even with me sweating out under my blanket, with the fan switched on to the max naively with hope that it'll blow her off hahahaha!!!

Friday, April 03, 2009

My GT bike has new bar-ends! Got them 2nd-hand from Togoparts... as were 90% of everything on this GT bike!! A few scratches here and there, but still very much usable... they're pretty good, stubby but just enough to rest my palms on, and they have nice shaping at the ends for me to put my thumbs when gripping them! Been wanting to try bar-ends for a long long time... should be able to help make climbing and spinning on this single-geared bike somewhat more comfy...~~

Found two blogs dedicated purely to chocolate reviews! Hahaha! My chocoholic madness is seeping deeper and deeper, can feel my blood turning brown already~~ Links are on the side of my blog~

Drinking good old Lipton's tea can help get rid of the chocolatey breath, and up the shiokness / satisfaction levels even more!

Link to BikeRadar
A city in Britain will be building 13 miles of fully-sheltered bicycle paths for bike commuters such that they can cycle to work without getting in the rain! Amazing right?! When can S'pore have this? Hehehe~~

2 weeks into it, I'm still not getting over my chocoholic madness yet... in fact I'm still popping a chocolate into my mouth something like once every 15-30 minute! Funny I'm not getting heaty yet either, which is so nice~~

Time for lazy lazy lazy lazy lazy me though to get my ball rolling, since my FYP is finally over for now... time to roll onwards to the last exam of my NTU student life!

Friday, March 27, 2009

Switched the Selle Italia saddle from my currently-in-cold-storage Giant trail bike over to my commute bike, what a big difference it made! It's so much cushier, so much less road surface noise and shocks transmitted to my ass, and I could still feel my ass after 2 hours of cycling! Because my Giant has rear suspension, I never felt that the seat makes such a big difference to ass comfort, but it sure does on my hardtail commute bike! Could be the gel padding, could be the titanium rails, or the well-seasoned top shape, I'm totally enjoying it! Just needs regular baby lotion rub to protect the now rapidly scuffing leather cover... and my bike just looks so much sexier with the Selle Italia on it~~!!

My new aloe vera shoots, after a pair of my neighbour's kittens came over and dug the plants out! They are scaring my mum and sis out too, especially when me or my dad aren't around to carry them out of the house, now my home front door is almost always closed!

The rim of my pitcher plant, Nephenthes Hookeriana... so pretty! Not quite as pretty to the insects in my home though... so many ants and flies died inside! My other pitcher plant, N. Amplullaria, isn't doing quite as well though... it didn't really recover from a period of drying out (forgot to water it during exam period!)... but some new shoots are sprouting out from the base, it's not giving up just yet!

New animal species discovered recently in Papua New Guinea... Amazing to know that new animal species are constantly being discovered even in today where almost all of the Earth's lands have been supposedly explored by Man. National Geographic

Like a Martian alien... Little green thing with big black eyes! A green tree frog still undescribed to Science...

White Sifakas lemurs from Madagascar... how do they keep their furs so white while living in the jungle? Do they use two bottlecaps full of Dynamo daily to wash?

Tree kangaroo, so cute machiam like stuffed toy!

Come to think of it, both Madagascar and Papua New Guinea export brilliant cocoa beans! In a severe chocoholic mood recently, finally gave in and bought that bar of Cadbury's Marble, with white chocolate/milk chocolate mix and filled with hazelnut praline inside, but I find the white chocolate a little too sweet for me, and the hazelnut praline while smooth not fragrant enough. But if I pop enough of them into my mouth, then it's still bliss all the same, can't ask too much of a $4 Cadbury's right? Nice~~

Singletrack link
This article in Singletrack, an online bicycling magazine, is the first one that I've read that says that not wearing a helmet would make cycling safer! Apparently, wearing a helmet makes drivers give less space while overtaking, and that making cyclists wear helmets by law would make less people want to cycle, and with less bikes on the roads, the risks per biker would increase, which personally I feel is true. Most drivers in S'pore take the roads for granted, and forget that according to Traffic Police rules, bicycles are entitled to half a lane's space on the roads, and that bicycles are entitled to use the roads as much as any other road vehicle. Drivers are also required to leave 2 feet spacing while overtaking bicycles, although this may be difficult given the constant congestion and width of local roads. But local cyclists are not perfect either. 99% of them don't signal when changing lanes or turning (I do!). 50% cannot cycle straight with swerving left/right. 95% don't wave back to drivers who do give way (I do! I smile back even!) But local drivers seem to be always in a rush, even slowing down for a cyclist seems too hard for them, which would at most cost them maybe 5 seconds more to their total journey time? Too many times I get drivers speeding past me not giving way, only to be stopped at the traffic lights 50m ahead, with me stopping right beside him, me grinning away at him, with the driver black-faced! But I have nice drivers who give way, and even if we stop at the traffic lights together, we'll chit-chat about the weather, about the traffic, about bike-commuting, and we part feeling happy. Isn't this a much better outcome? Either way, I still choose to cycle-commute, especially in the mornings and evenings, traffic congestion or not. Except on days which require me to be dressed nicely (too much clothes to carry on my bike!), or on especially hot or wet days... but my personal gripe is that it is darn difficult to get secure bike parking in S'pore! Parking anywhere else apart from inside your own home would be tempting bike thieves!

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

My horoscope says I will be cranky for the next few days... Not a good period to be cranky! Got a quiz on Thursday that might be difficult given it's on solar cells and set by Lydia... Got a sense that we might get a Mobilisation this weekend since this is my NS Manning week... And next Tuesday is my FYP report submission day and my prof still hasn't given me back nor commented on my draft report! Ok I'm getting cranky typing all this out...~!!

Monday, March 23, 2009

Finally got to sun myself today, except I did it while forgetting to remove my bike gloves... now again I look like some funny animal with white hands and dark skin! Didn't get to do it on the last two days due to some stuffs... and the weather... Had been catching up on sleep too, found that I do really get quite grumpy and blur when I don't get my fair bit of sleep! Feeling good and recharged now, although my plans to do some school stuff late into tonight may lead to lack of sleep tomorrow morning again... vicious cycle of life...~

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Was back in school on last Saturday morning to do my last XRD test, although found that I might not be including that result into my report, if most only in my Appendix... NTU open-house on that day... balloon on my bike! Took it off before I rode it, because it didn't seem safe to have a balloon fluttering around behind me while cycling with traffic...!

Link This is now my favourite online game! Such cute characters! Racing on wooden boxes with wheels, shooting each other with acorns and special powers like my favourite "skunk stink"!

Have been looking forward to going to Pulau Ubin today. Emptied my backpack of all the school stuffs, and in went my trusty sunglasses, towel, spare clothes, waterproof windbreaker in case of rain. Spent half-hour deciding whether to wear shoes or slippers, I put my shoes beside the main door, and packed in my slippers into the bag as well. Charged up my camera battery and got my sis to empty her pictures from my memory card. Set my alarm clock and mobile phone to ring at 5.45am, and went to bed. Until I woke up at 11am, alarm clock firmly silent and my mobile phone grasped loosely with my left hand, under my pillow where my head was resting, left arm painfully numb due to lack of blood circulation after being weighed down by my head in a strange posture for dunno how long. What hell, Mas and guys were already on the boat back to mainland island at the same time! Then again, I haven't had such good deep sleep in a week or two...

I love M & M's Peanut Butter!! Especially when they slowly melt in my mouth and all the taste of the PB flows out all over my mouth... OMG!!

One night's work = 3 pages of my report... what nonsense!!

Link to video.
I love this video! It's a great summary of the 2008 downhill mountain bike world championships. Many shots of riders drifting, sliding, and crashing... the track was crazy rough and bumpy! Add slippery mud and dislodged rocks and roots, woah! I miss mountain biking, haiz so so much...~

My laptop's now has 2 screens! Like my school's electron microscope system (which I was using yesterday early morning and got the inspiration...)! Decided to dust off and plug up my spare old LCD to my laptop, to make it possible to open a PDF document on one screen while typing my FYP report on the laptop screen... working well so far... whenever I wasn't caught up watching some video on the 2nd screen~ =p

I suspect I've been cheated of my allocation of Time. While everybody's supposed to get 24 hours per day, I believe I'm getting less! It only seemed like 2 days ago when I flipped the calender from January to February, and now I have to flip it from Feb to March! This is too much! Must call police man, must catch this "time-conman"!

Hahaha! Not to blame any scammer... Must be my bad time-management these days... Kel needs to focus~!

Kel's a 70% introvert...

Reading up the meaning of introversion on Wikipedia:
Introversion is "the state of or tendency toward being wholly or predominantly concerned with and interested in one's own mental life". Introverts tend to be more reserved and less assertive in social situations. They often take pleasure in solitary activities such as reading, writing, drawing, and using computers. The archetypal artist, writer, sculptor, composer, and inventor are all highly introverted. An introvert is likely to enjoy time spent alone and find less reward in time spent with large groups of people, though they tend to enjoy interactions with close friends. They prefer to concentrate on a single activity at a time and like to observe situations before they participate. Introverts are easily overwhelmed by too much stimulation from social gatherings and engagement. They are more analytical before speaking. Introversion is not the same as shyness. Introverts choose solitary over social activities by preference, whereas shy people avoid social encounters out of fear.

Seems like I fit the bill entirely. Did this self-measurement thingy too; Kel's a 70% introvert~!

Have been spending several (non-consecutive) nights sleeping with my contact lenses on... I would lie on my bed waiting for my bath, or just reading or listening to Mp3s on my bed, and then the next thing I'll see is the next morning's sunrise! Much thankfully, the current lenses I'm using (Air Optix) are a million light years better than the 2 previous brands I've used (Acuvue and Softlens), but still cannot keep doing this, or else it won't be soon before Kelvin will become a physically-challenged member of society...~
